Sharif's fifth grade year

My year in the fifth grade

My year in the fifth grade has been quite challenging, interesting, but most of all, amazing. I have many regrets of silly oops mistakes in math tests. Eve on the easy tests I get things wrong, because I don't proofread that much, therefore I make silly mistakes that I regret, so from now on I will proofread whenever I do a test. One thing that I'm really not proud of is reading because I really dislike reading so I never read for fun, so I'm really bad at reading. I know how important reading is academically, so I think maybe if I find a just right book that looks cool, sounds cool, and I think the idea is amazing, it's still reading, and I feel like reading is more of work than entertainment. In middle school, I want to try singing in front of people because my dream job is to be a music producer and a singer, and if I can't sing in front of people my dream is lost so I want to try that. I also want to try painting and other types of art that I'm not used to, like painting on a canvas or painting on a wooden plate. I also want to try acting, and explore that because acting looks so cool and fun and I think I will have a lot of fun tiring out the productions and stuff.

Reading

In reading class, I'm necessarily proud of anything but I think I'm good at predicting events in books. for the map test scores, I was below average sometimes but I almost doubled my growth projection

Writing

I proud of my argumentative essay on bottled water because I feel it looked very professional and I felt my reasons were very very persuasive. I'm also proud of my fantasy book because I worked really hard on it and I think it came out amazing and I thought the illustrations were really nice too.
Trinity

Math

I am very proud of math because one of my first goals of the year was to get into math Olympiad so I'm proud of that, and I'm also proud of my map test score,(243 and I doubled my growth projection and my percentile is 91)I got 243 which I'm very proud of because the average is 211. However, I have never gotten 100% on a math test so I'm sort of disappointed.

Science

Science is really fun because we get to do really cool experiments like the one with the flask and the egg and the match. You light a match and put it in a flask and then we put an egg on the top of the flask and the egg gets sucked inside the flask really fast and it made a gunshot sound! we also did an experiment called elephant toothpaste on Halloween and it was so cool

Social Studies

in S.S we made a really cool role play of the Aztecs and the Hernan Cortez and it was really fun to make. At first, we wanted to record our roleplay but it didn't work so we did it live in front of the class.

Specials

My favorite specials are PE and art because the other specials feel more like work than those 2 PE is fun when we don't have swimming and art is always fun, I'm proud of my final project I'm working on now its a zombie's hand  coming out of the dirt, and in PE I'm proud of my mile time.

Most challenging

The most challenging thing in the fifth grade is without a doubt the mile run because it was so tiring and I really had to push my self to keep running.

Most enjoyable

the most enjoyable thing in fifth grade for me are the house events and art class and project adventure and other events like kids day or the last day of school or any day where we dress up.

Most proud of

I don't have just one thing that I'm most proud of, I'm proud my fantasy novel trinity and my argumentative essay about plastic bottles and I'm proud of my mile time and I'm proud of
my final art project of a zombie's hand coming out of the dirt.

Most growth

I think the most growth I've had from the beginning of the year to now is math because if me at the beginning of the year tried the things we do in math olympiad then he would struggle a lot.
